The Shift From Victimhood to Freedom

To find true freedom, it is necessary to shift our thoughts and extend the intention to forgive—to live in allowance of what is. To believe that we must be forgiven is to believe that a debt is owed. But freedom comes from a full paradigm shift: moving away from the repetitive story that makes us victims.

When we use victimhood to justify our station in life or to gain sympathy from others, we stay bound. True liberation comes when we begin to see ourselves as an integral part of the Divine whole, acknowledging our oneness with the higher power. This awareness raises life to a higher vibration and deepens our understanding. We recognize that we have never been true victims to anyone or anything. While difficult to accept, this realization changes the course of our lives forever.

Living Beyond Judgment

How do we change our results? By releasing our grip on right and wrong, good and bad. The moment we lock ourselves into judgment, we trap ourselves in limitation. For me, freedom comes from living in the question: What else is possible?

God has a larger vision for my life—far beyond my limited perspective of what “should be.” Instead of clinging to judgment, I ask: What is great about this that I am not seeing? This shift frees me from negativity and allows space for creativity, possibility, and peace.

The True Meaning of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is necessary only while we see ourselves as victims. But when we awaken to the greatness of God’s presence in all, we see clearly: there is nothing to forgive. Life, in its Divine perfection, is whole. My connection to Spirit remains unbroken, and I can walk in ease, knowing that nothing is missing.

Dr. Ernest Holmes reminds us: “Each individual maintains his identity in the law, through his personal use of the law, and each is drawing from life what he thinks into it.” If my life results do not match my expectations, then what must change? Not the outcome, but my thoughts about the outcome.

From Cages to Possibility

Though we are inherently free, we often build cages of judgment and expectation around ourselves. Social media, the news, even family dynamics can reinforce these cages. Each moment invites us to choose: chain ourselves to judgment, or marvel at the infinite possibilities.

True freedom is found when we stop dividing life into “good” and “bad” and instead allow ourselves to be the pure energy of God expressing.

The Bodhisattva’s Question

Like the Bodhisattva, we may ask:
May I be of service to all? May I help alleviate the suffering of all beings?

Despair is an insult to the imagination. When we hold space, we hold the space of peace. Our sacred task in this moment is simple and profound:

To live in the Bodhisattva’s question—How may I be of service?

✨ Forgiveness equals freedom because, in truth, there is nothing to forgive. There is only God, only Love, only the infinite possibility of freedom itself. ✨
